A 51-year-old woman on Wednesday died in a traffic accident on Texas 123 on the city’s outskirts in Guadalupe County.

Driving a 2005 Chevrolet Impala, Janet Moffett-McGinty pulled in front of a 1998 Chevy pickup truck when she ran a stop sign at Farm-to-Market Road 1979 and Texas 123 at about 2:30 p.m., state trooper Greg Hendry said. She was pronounced dead at the scene by Guadalupe County Justice of the Peace Edmundo “Cass” Castellanos.

A Taylor man driving the truck and a passenger were transported to Brackenridge Hospital in Austin where they were treated for non-life threatening injuries, Hendry said.
