STAFF REPORT

An argument over unpaid rent landed a man in jail on Wednesday after he allegedly threatened his roommate with a metal bar and a knife. Pascal England, 26, is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon after a dispute Tuesday afternoon at his Mandalay Lane residence, San Marcos police Sgt. Fred Wisener said. Because the fight involved people who live together, the case is being treated as family violence, which can carry an enhanced sentence, Wisener said. No one was injured.
