The twenty-third annual San Marcos Chamber Business Expo, will be held Thursday, Aug. 21 at the San Marcos Activity Center with two changes.

The first is the addition of a “Procurement Fair” which will provide an opportunity for you to “GET CONNECTED.” The Fair will be held in the hall next to the exhibit hall from 3 to 5:00 p.m. and will feature experts and purchasing agents from the City, County, local manufacturers, Embassy Suites, SMCISD and more.

There will also be experts on hand to explain 8-A certification, Statewide HUD information, and Compliance Contracts and Certifications for Disadvantaged Entrepreneurs, Minority and/or Women Business owners. Stop in to make contacts and secure information that will enable your company to do business with the large businesses and governmental entities in San Marcos.

The second exciting change designed to help you “GET CONNECTED” concerns the Chamber Business After-Hours Mixer held from 5:30 to 7 p.m. This year, at 5 p.m., the expo floor will close for a half-hour starting at 5 p.m. for an after-hours mixer that will be for chamber members and their guests and prospective members only.

The mixer will feature food and drink and provide an extra networking opportunity and exposure for exhibitors in a fun and lively after-hours environment. Sign in at the door, and you may be the lucky winner of the $1,000 Grand Prize sponsored by TXI Hunter Cement.
