City of Kyle Channel: Council appoints two to parks boards
STAFF REPORT
The Kyle City Council met very briefly Tuesday night and made two appointments to parks boards.
The council placed Karen Campos Park on the parks and recreation board and Dr. Greg Risner on the recreational center building committee.
The building committee’s job will basically consist in working out the details of a rec center, since the site already has been chosen. The rec center will go up on a 43-acre parcel the city has pieced together by various acquisitions at Dacy Lane and Beebe Road.
The city expects to ask voters to approve a debt issue of $18-20 million in November 2009 to build the rec center.
