CTMC adds rheumatology specialist to its staff

Central Texas Medical Center announced on Monday the addition of Dr. Hassan Alissa, a physician specializing in Rheumatology, to its medical staff.

Alissa is relocating from Houston, where he was part of the Rheumatic Disease Clinic of Houston. Prior to that, he was in private practice in Branson, Mo. for six years.
Dr. Alissa completed his medical education at Damascus University School of Medicine, where he received his medical doctor degree in 1993. He completed his internal medicine residency at the University of Chicago/Louis A. Weiss Memorial Hospital in 1999 and completed a rheumatology fellowship at Loyola University Medical Center in 2001.
He is a member of the American College of Rheumatology and the American College of Physicians.
Alissa is taking appointments for arthritis, fibromyalgia, lupus and other arthritic conditions, Jepson said.
