Tom Key’s acclaimed ‘C.S. Lewis on Stage’ comes to Texas State

The one-act, one-character play, “C.S. Lewis on Stage” will show at the LBJ Student Center Teaching Theatre Friday, Nov. 7 at 7:30 p.m.

Actor Tom Key will portray C.S. Lewis, the author famous in part for the Chronicles of Narnia and The Screwtape Letters as well as many other papers, books and poems. The performance provides an introspective look into the Christianity, thinking, character and personality of the famous author, poet and educator whose ideas regarding religious faith are viewed as widely influential worldwide.

Key is the executive artistic director of the Theatrical Outfit at the Balzer Theater at Herren’s in Atlanta . A primary goal of Key’s work and theatre company is to explore and promote themes of spirituality, race and community in the American southern culture. Key has performed on stage at some of North America’s most prominent venues including the John F. Kennedy Center in Washington D.C.
