Texas State prepares for fall commencement
Texas State University System Regent Michael Truncale will be the keynote speaker at one of four commencement ceremonies to be held Dec. 19 and 20 at Texas State University.
Truncale will deliver the commencement address at a ceremony to be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 20, in Strahan Coliseum on the Texas State campus. Degree candidates from the College of Science and the McCoy College of Business Administration will attend the Saturday ceremony.
Truncale, a senior partner of Orgain, Bell and Tucker, LLP, in Beaumont and The Woodlands, was appointed to a six-year term on the TSUS Board of Regents by Gov. Rick Perry in September 2007.
Texas State President Denise Trauth will deliver remarks at three commencement ceremonies to be held Friday, Dec. 19. Friday’s three ceremonies will also be held at Strahan Coliseum.
Degree candidates from the College of Education and the College of Health Professions will attend a ceremony to be held at 10 a.m. Friday.
Candidates from the College of Liberal Arts and the University College will attend a 2 p.m. ceremony Friday.
Candidates from the College of Applied Arts and the College of Fine Arts and Communication will attend a 6 p.m. ceremony Friday.
A total of 2,649 students are candidates for undergraduate and graduate degrees at Texas State this fall.
