Cheatham Street panel to talk record producing

The Cheatham Street Music Foundation will present a panel discussion on “The Role of the Record Producer and How to Find One Who Fits You” at 7 p.m. Wednesday April 1 at Cheatham Street Warehouse.
Panelists will discuss various aspects of the subject at hand, as well as answer questions from the audience during the “Question and Answer” portion of the program. The panel includes:
- Walt Wilkins, a noted producer, songwriter and recording artist;
- Keith Davis, a producer, recording engineer, recording artist and “guitar slinger” who has worked with Kevin Fowler, Brandon Rhyder and others;
- Neal Brown, the executive producer of “Luckenback Compadres” and Bobby Rambo’s “Angel Light” and head of GTT Entertainment;
- Gary Hickinbotham: Resident engineer at Firestation Studios and Texas State sound recording instructor who has worked with Stevie Ray Vaughan, Doug Sahm and the Texas Tornadoes.
This seminar is free to all serious singer/songwriters and other musicians or music business folks. The Cheatham Street Music Foundation <www.cheathamstreetfoundation.com> is a non-profit 501(3)(c) organization dedicated to developing, promoting, preserving, perpetuating, and celebrating Texas Music and the art of songwriting. Seminars on various music/music business topics are presented the first Wednesday of each month.
