The Texas State men’s and women’s basketball teams will hold their annual awards banquet on Monday, April 20 to highlight the accomplishments of both teams in 2008-09. The banquet begins a 6:30 p.m., and will be held in the Sac-N-Pac room, located in the End Zone Complex at Bobcat Stadium.

The men’s team advanced to the Southland Conference Tournament for the first time in four years and finished the 2008-09 season with a 14-16 overall record in their third season under head coach Doug Davalos. The Bobcats also boasted the nation’s fourth-best scoring offense after averaging 81.5 points per game.

The women’s team finished the regular season with a 12-16 overall record and was one of the top three shooting teams in the Southland Conference in their 12th season under head coach Suzanne Fox.
