From Lucy Johnson: ‘Innovative and fiscally sound ways of funding Kyle’s growing needs’
PRESS RELEASE FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Lucy Johnson, a native to the Kyle area and resident of Plum Creek, announced today her intention to run for the District 5 Kyle City Council seat. The election will be held on August 9th to replace the seat vacated by long-term Kyle resident, Mike Moore.
Ms. Johnson strongly believes in the revitalization of downtown Kyle, and its critical role in the continued economic prosperity of the entire community. She seeks to utilize her current education, along with her years of local experience, to help ensure Kyle retains its distinct identity during this period of intense and, often times, unbridled growth.
“During this time of economic instability, I believe we need to find new, innovative and fiscally sound ways of funding the growing needs of Kyle and its citizens.”
Daughter of long-time Hays County residents Bill & Kate Johnson, Ms. Johnson was raised on the Halifax Ranch, and grew up attending local schools and events. She graduated from Jack C. Hays High School and holds a B.F.A. from the Parsons School of Design. She is currently working towards a Masters Degree in Public Administration at Texas State University. Ms. Johnson currently works as a graphic designer.
