STAFF REPORT
Tonight begins the big weekend for more than 600 Hays CISD students, who will walk the path to graduation in three separate ceremonies in the next two days.

Hays High School will graduate 322 seniors tonight at Bob Shelton Stadium, starting at 8 p.m. Lehman High School will run its graduation ceremonies at 8 p.m. Saturday night at Bob Shelton Stadium, where 247 departing seniors will walk the aisle.

The
Academy@Hays will conduct its graduation ceremonies Saturday, 6 p.m., at the Hays CISD Performing Arts Center. The exact number of graduating students is unknown, since many Academy students complete their studies mid-year, but Hays CISD Trustees Secretary Joe Munoz signed more than 40 diplomas for Academy seniors Friday morning.

San Marcos schools will hold their most of their graduation ceremonies next weekend. However, the Pathfinder Learning Center held its ritual this afternoon at the San Marcos High School auditorium.

San Marcos High School seniors will take the last walk on June 7 at Texas State University’s Strahan Coliseum, beginning at 7 p.m. PRIDE will hold its commencement exercise on June 5 at 10:30 a.m. in the San Marcos High School auditorium.

Two other Hays County high schools are holding graduation ceremonies in the next week. Wimberley High School will walk its seniors tonight, 8 p.m., at Strahan Coliseum. Dripping Springs High School will hold graduation on June 6, 8 p.m., at Shoreline Center.
