The Lone Star Rail District, formerly the Austin-San Antonio Commuter Rail District, announced it will begin seeking environmental clearance and deciding station locations for commuter train service between Georgetown and South San Antonio before the year’s end.
Kyle police are asking for the public’s assistance in locating a man believed to be in a taxi cab when Gheng Weng, a University of Texas student, either fell or jumped out of the cab onto Interstate 35.

The Buda City Council is likely to renew its agreement to receive law enforcement service from the Hays County Sheriff’s Office, but the cost is going up 14 percent for the same service.
