The girls basketball team at Hays High School used its usual defensive effort for an easy 56-24 win at Lehman Friday night to go 2-0 in District 17-4A, while Lehman fell to 1-1. San Marcos lost it’s district opener Friday night to Del Valle.
As the girls high school basketball teams in District 17-4A open district play this week, including a meeting tonight between Hays and Lehman, the boys teams still have a week of tuning up.
The two faces of Hays High School basketball showed themselves last weekend at the Rebel Classic, where the girls team finished second and the boys team is back to work on a new system. Meanwhile, both San Marcos teams split their games at the tournament.
